Ganisha graduated from the University of California, Riverside with two Bachelor’s Degrees in English and Spanish Literature and later received her Master’s Degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University. She ended her career as a high school teacher to pursue her passion for the family business. She played the role of Director of Human Resources for two years, working directly with all entities and associates to keep Sethi Management organized and running. She earned her CHA certification and served on various IHG and Choice Hotels owner association boards. Now, as Chief Operating Officer, Ganisha continues to increase efficiency and accountability within the company. Her focus is on creating a company of positive culture and true integrity. With a long-term vision in mind, Ganisha plans to make Sethi Management better, every day.
Gaurav developed a strong business acumen and passion for entrepreneurship at a very young age, as he was raised shadowing his father in the family business. Gaurav joined Sethi Management in 2007. Now as the Vice President of New Acquisitions and Development, Gaurav is responsible for new developments, acquisitions, major capital projects, and property improvement plans. During his tenure at Sethi Management, Gaurav has led projects to open new development hotels, new-build convenience stores, gas stations, and retail locations, and has led numerous complete hotel conversions and improvement plans. He currently is overseeing $50 million of new development projects in the pipeline as well as Property Improvement Plans for three existing hotels. Gaurav has over 12 year of experience in the Hospitality industry and holds both CHA and CHO certifications.
Jessica first became exposed to the hospitality industry at the age of 15 when she took a part-time job working as a front desk representative. She earned a degree in Business Economics and worked for a nonprofit organization for four years before joining Sethi Management in 2009. For three years Jessica worked as the Director of Operations, auditing the company’s hotels, implementing new standard operating procedures, working closely with different franchises, and reinforcing the organization's values with each team member. During this time Jessica also served on the operations committee for three years with the Intercontinental Hotel Groups (IHG) Owners Association, helped start the Emerging Leaders Council within the Owners Association, and completed an executive leadership course at Emory University. Now as the VP of Retail, Jessica oversees the company’s retail and restaurant locations, all grossing over $40 million annually. She is focused on increasing revenues and implementing new programs within the retail sector to maximize effectiveness. Working in retail since 2013, Jessica has created and implemented new audit and accounting procedures, helped grow management efficiency, and put into place new practices to assure consistency. Jessica also oversees the risk management department and is responsible for the liability, property/casualty, and workers' compensation programs for each of the entities managed by Sethi. Jessica is currently an active member of the Emerging Leaders Council with IHG and the National Association of Convenience Stores.
Joined the Sethi team in 2011. Joanne graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism/History from the University of Massachusetts. Prior to joining Sethi Management, she worked both the fields of Payroll and Human Resources for over 20 years in manufacturing and property management. Joanne implemented Sethi Management’s first Associate Satisfaction Survey program, recruitment and training programs, including background screenings and thorough hiring procedures, as well as Sethi’s safety programs. She has made quarterly HR audits and workers' compensation processes more efficient, lowering Sethi’s liability. Her work has also tightened all HR processes, helping decrease unemployment and insurance rates for the entire company. In 2014, Joanne helped develop and implement Sethi’s first company-wide healthcare program.
Valorie joined the Sethi Management team in 2008 as Houseman of the Country Inn & Suites in Tucson. She was eager to learn and grow and stepped into the front desk. She quickly climbed to an Assistant General Manager position at the same hotel. Not too long later, she was leading this hotel as General Manager, having the hotel’s most successful years occur under her watch. Over time, Valorie became a master at the rate game and was named the company’s Director of Revenue Management in 2017. In less than two months, Valorie had learned six brand systems, bringing Revenue Management for each hotel in-house. She has brought extensive change to the company and continues to broaden rate strategy mindsets across the board.
Patrick Mata joined the Sethi Family in 2008 as a Night Auditor at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Fresno. While working at the Holiday Inn Express, he advanced and was eager to exceed in each position offered. From Night Auditor to Guest Service Agent and then to Front Office Manager, Patrick mastered his organization and communication skills. Patrick used his analytical skills to evaluate guest service scores and operations expenses and effectively manage them. In January 2014, Patrick had proven himself as an effective leader and advanced to a General Manager role of the Comfort Inn & Suites, Visalia. Within the first two years of being a General Manager, Patrick learned and mastered the hospitality basics and taught others along the way. He was able to provide constant growth opportunities to other staff members in his tenure. Sethi Management maximized Patrick’s abilities and within a few years, he managed a variety of hotels, consisting of four different brands. Within the Sethi portfolio, Patrick has proven to be a valuable asset to the company’s growth plans. Patrick is consistent, persistent, and diligent. In 2018, Patrick was give the Director of Operations role, overseeing four hotels and four General Managers throughout California. Patrick is also a part of the company’s new-build hotel opening team. He plans to share his focus, knowledge, and drive to pursue Sethi Management’s vision for growth.
Greg is an example of an individual having the hospitality industry in his blood. Following in his father’s footsteps, Greg’s journey in the industry began at 14 years old, folding laundry at the Sheraton Eatontown hotel while gaining a valuable understanding of what hard work truly is. Through Greg’s teenage years, he worked his way up the ladder working in numerous departments as he was eager to absorb as much knowledge as possible in the business. After graduating from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Hotel Management, Greg returned to his hometown at the Jersey Shore where he managed a popular beachfront boutique hotel. Looking to further his career, Greg set off across county in 2012 to the sunny skies of San Diego where he was able to continue his growth working with major chains like Marriott, Hilton, IHG and Hyatt. Through Greg’s track record of success in guest satisfaction, associate retention and optimizing revenues while managing the middle of the page, Greg soon saw promotions from General Manager, to Regional General Manager, to his current role, Regional Director of Operations. Now with Sethi Management, Greg brings a high level of experience in hotel operations with him to provide support to the property leaders and their teams in order for each property to achieve its financial and guest-satisfaction goals.
Jennifer recently joined the management team of Sethi Management and has a strong background in hotel hospitality. Since 2001, Jennifer has been working for different brands including Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Choice. Beginning as the Guest Service Agent at the Hilton Garden Inn in Gilroy, California, she was quickly promoted to Sales Manager and then General Manager. A quick learner, she loves challenges and continues to grow her portfolio with Sethi becoming a Multi-Unit Manager of Palm Beach Tan. Jennifer has displayed her people and team management skills throughout her work history and brings the added benefit of her knowledge of the tanning process. Having tanned for the last 17 years, Jennifer is familiar with the products offered in the industry. She assessed areas in Sethi’s acquisition of Palm Beach Tan to improve its customer service, product sales, and continued growth.
